Below is a series of remote sensing instructional modules called Geo/SAT 2. The first series of Geo/SAT modules resulted from a cooperative arrangement between EOSAT (now Space Imaging), Eidetic Digital Imaging Ltd., and the Remote Sensing Task Force of the National Council for Geographic Education (NCGE). EOSAT provided Landsat sub-data sets; Eidetic created a software package called EarthScenes; and the Remote Sensing Task Force prepared instructional modules around the data sets using EarthScenes.

Geo/SAT 2 is a new series of instructional modules. These modules are designed to have students logically work through an environmental problem based on the nature of the data and the use of simple mathematical procedures. No sophisticated statistical techniques are used in the modules. The modules are built around the image processing software package called EarthScenes. Each module is written in Microsoft Word and includes a PowerPoint presentations and the html files used to display the below Web presentations. Most of the modules are constructed around Landsat 5 or 7 data sets. Two modules use IRS (Indian Remote Sensing) data sets and one module incorporates a DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data set.

Except for the Flood Management module, all of the modules with their accompanying data sets can be acquired from Eidetic Digital Imaging Ltd. under Geo/SAT 2. The Flood Management data set is available under Geo/SAT, which can also be acquired from Eidetic Digital Imaging Ltd. Below is the necessary information for contacting Eidetic Digital Imaging Ltd.
