The west end neighborhood is
located on the west side of Oneonta. With
Greater Plains Elementary
school nestled in the middle, the west end is very much a
family-oriented neighborhood. Aside from commuters when the school day
begins and ends, traffic is very minimal. Filled with mostly modern
houses of the 50's and 60's, the quiet neighborhood has a very relaxing
atmosphere.
It is very common to see children
at play in this area. The neighborhood has a town pool and tennis
courts, located across from the elementary school, which are very
popular with the youth in the area.
