Your SCO is the institutional point of contact who can provide assistance, or refer you to other professionals regarding the Tuition Assistance program, Financial Aid, academic counseling, job search support, and other campus services as well as programs and events designed to assist service members, veterans, and their families

SUNY Oneonta is a signatory to both the EXECUTIVE ORDER 13607, establishing Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses and Other Family Members and the 8 Keys to Veterans’ Success.

The Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020 requires educational institutions to make certain disclosures to students using federal military and/or VA educational benefits. The SUNY Financial Aid Plan (FAP) will provide a more in-depth analysis and accurate picture of student cost once the student has filed their FAFSA, completed a SUNY application, and has been accepted by a campus.

Financial Literacy Program

SUNY Oneonta’s Making Cents Financial Literacy and Wellness program is designed to help students develop a strong understanding of personal financial management concepts to empower students to make informed financial decisions and manage financial resources for a lifetime of financial well-being.
