SPAN 323 Literature of Revolutions
Studies the effects on literature and culture of the revolutionary movements in Latin America during the 20th century, including the Mexican Revolution and the rise of Fidel Castro in Cuba, and may also look back to the effects of the earlier struggles for independence from Spanish colonial rule. Course will be conducted in Spanish, and among other work, students will be required to write a 10-12pp research paper in Spanish. Offered irregularly. (LA)
