SPAN 313 Survey of Spanish-American Literature
Traces the development of Spanish-American literature from colonial through modern times, stressing significant writers and trends, and will cover the literature of the conquest, colonial times, the struggle for independence, modernism, realism, magical realism, and the contemporary period. Course will be conducted in Spanish, and essays of 6-8pp will be required. Offered in spring semesters only. (LA)
Prerequisite: "C+" or better in SPAN 208.
