MCOM 259 Mass Media and Culture
Analyzes the philosophy, standards, and practices of the mass media system in the United States. Examines the relationship between American media and American culture in a variety of political, social, economical, and cultural contexts. Addresses ethical problems in mass communication and examines different methods of moral reasoning relative to their solutions. Offered Fall and Spring. (LA)
