AHIS 285 History of the American Family
Examines the transformation of the American family from a unit of production in an agrarian culture to a unit of consumption in an urban culture. Emphasizes patterns of persistence and change in family structure, fertility, sex roles, economic life, education, mobility, and ethnicity. Offered irregularly. (LA)
