Devin Castendyk
Associate Professor Hydrology, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching Recipient
Dr. Castendyk is a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching recipient, and he teaches water quality and geology courses at SUNY Oneonta. He enjoys taking students outside of the traditional classroom to get hands-on experience. For the past few years, students in his class have worked in teams to investigate local environmental issues. Recently, he led students on a summer trip to Iceland to study the natural and geological wonders there. He has studied and done research in numerous places throughout the world: New Zealand, Antartica, Cape Cod and many more.
