Strategic Plan Highlights Fall 2013

As SUNY Oneonta's Strategic Plan 2010 comes to a close, we’re taking stock of our accomplishments and laying the groundwork for our next plan. In thinking about our future, we aspire to do even more.

I have four wishes for our students: that they study something they love and become competent at it; that they grow as ndividuals to be thoughtful, creative, confident and ethical; that they graduate in four years with the least possible debt; and that they launch successful careers or go on to graduate studies.

Our students, our faculty and our staff bring the ideals of the college's strategic plan to life, day in and day out, through their actions and through their interactions with one another. I'd like to introduce you to a few members of our campus community whose stories speak to how our campus has elevated teaching, learning and scholarship, which is at the core of our institution, and advanced our five other enduring values: student engagement, global connectedness, community partnership, sustainability and diversity.

We have made great strides since framing our Strategic Plan 2010. Our campus carries forward the momentum of five years of focus on our mission to be student centered in every way. I'm proud of all that we've accomplished, and excited for our next plan.
