SEPTEMBER 2009

·         D. McFarland visit Sept. 15-16 – environmental scan meetings; open forum on driving forces

·         Planning Assumptions and Driving Forces (Council)

 

OCTOBER 2009

·        Draft Planning Assumptions and Driving Forces (Council)

·         Draft Core Values, Mission and Vision Statements (Governing Ideas Task Force)

·         Draft Institutional Distinctiveness Statement (Institutional Distinctiveness Task Force)

·         Examine existing alignments of our functions and identify alternatives that could result in greater efficiency and/or synergy in the College’s operations (Organizational Structure Task Force)

·         Hold open forums, focus groups and/or other means of receiving input from the College community in preparation for a November Stakeholders Conference (Council and Task Forces)

 

NOVEMBER 2009

·         Early November – Mission Statement should be well tested (Council/College community)

·         November 16-17 (probable two-day event) Stakeholders Conference (open forum)

o        Final draft of driving forces

o        Final draft of core values

o        Final draft of institutional distinctiveness

o        Address Mission and Vision statements

o        Initial thinking about strategic goals

 

DECEMBER 2009

·         Review Mission, Vision, Institutional Distinctiveness (Council)

 

JANUARY 2010

·         Develop strategic goals to present for consideration at February Stakeholders Meeting (Council) 

 

FEBRUARY 2010

·         Stakeholders Conference (open forum)

o        Finalize

§         Mission Statement

§         Vision Statement

§         Institutional Distinctiveness

o        Choose 3 to 4 strategic goals

 

MARCH 2010

·         Governance review of final statements 

·         Final Stakeholders Conference (open forum)

o        Last input on strategic goals and any unfinished planning statements

o        Identify preliminary list of initiatives within the strategic goals and prioritize them

 

APRIL 2010 

·         Governance review and recommendations regarding strategic goals

·         President’s Cabinet to finalize priorities

 

ON-GOING THROUGH THE SUMMER

·         President’s Cabinet will develop operational plans; consider resource allocations. 

 

AUGUST 2010

·         SPARC to review operational plans
