SUNY NY-ALERT is an emergency contact system designed to send e-mail, recorded voice, and text messages to multiple addresses and phone numbers, in response to any event or situation on the campus which poses a serious safety concern, including weather related class cancellations.
Faculty, staff, and students are strongly encouraged to provide their emergency contact information, which will be sent to SEMO by SUNY System Administration. Your information will be sent to no other third parties, public or private. You may alter your contact information at any time including the option to remove yourself from the system within Web Services.

Questions about NY Alert can be addressed to Jennifer Fila, Chief of University Police at x3550.
Technical questions about registration can be addressed to Telecommunications at x2577.
The City of Oneonta has implemented a separate Emergency Notification System. Students, especially those living in the City, are encouraged to register their cell phone number to receive emergency updates. Additionally, by adding your local Oneonta address, the city will be able to notify affected residents in the event of a localized emergency through the system’s mapping capability. Cell phone users may add their numbers to the City database by going to http://www.oneonta.ny.us/government/global_connect.asp.
