Michelle Nguyen (President), from Weedsport, NY, is a professional accounting major with a concentration in finance. She is a member of various clubs and is on the e-board for both the Finance Club and the Economics Club. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. After graduation she aims to obtain her CPA and will begin work at EY in New York City.
Samantha Wilks (Vice President) is a Professional Accounting Major with a minor in Gender Studies from Endwell, NY. She is a member of the Oneonta Cross Country and Track team and is the treasurer of the GSA. After graduation she hopes to obtain her CPA license and work at an accounting firm in Chicago, and one day become a CFO.
Anna Lin (Vice President) is a Professional Accounting major with a concentration in finance. She is from Plainview, New York. While not in the classroom, Anna serves as a Peer Tutor in PreCalculus and Business courses, a Peer Mentor for first-year students and participates in many organizations such as Accounting Club and Finance Club. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. In her free time, you may find Anna skiing down a mountain, creating elegant fashion sketches, or even photographing landscapes in a remote national park. After graduation, Anna plans on obtaining her CPA license and working for a top 10 accounting firm.
Andrew Jensen (Treasurer) is from Sandy Hook, CT. He is a Business Economics major with a Finance concentration. He serves on the e-boards for the Newman Club, the Jazz Appreciation Society, the Finance Club, and the Student Advisory Council of the SEB. This year was his second time on the College Fed Challenge team. After graduation, he will begin his career as an Operations Analyst for JPMorgan Chase.
Amanda Barcia is a Business Economics major with a concentration in finance. She is from Westchester, New York. Some of her interests include club and intramural sports, snowboarding, and four-wheeling. Upon graduation Amanda’s plan is to pursue a career in the finance industry.
Laura Dailey is double majoring in Business Economics and International Development Studies with a minor in Business Communications. She is from a small town called Marcellus near Syracuse, New York. Laura is a player on the Oneonta Women’s Rugby club team and various intramural sport teams. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in fields related to International Business.
Connor Day is a Professional Accounting major with a concentration in finance and a minor in mathematics. Originally is from Bellmore, NY Connor is involved in many clubs as he is the President of the Finance Club, Vice president of the Accounting club as well as the Treasurer of the Economic Club. Connor serves as the campus ambassador for the Becker, which is a CPA review provider. He also serves on the Student Association as a senator and is in Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society. Upon graduation he plans to obtain his CPA and work for one of the big four accounting firms in New York City.
Jessica Dominianni is a Business Economics major with a minor in Business Communications. She is from Rockland County, NY. She is the Treasurer of Sigma Sigma Sigma, President of the Inter-Greek Council Executive Board, President of The Order of Omega Greek honor society and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in finance.
Sabina Ruggles is a Business Economics and Communications double major. She has been an active member of many clubs and organizations on campus including the Student Association Senate, the Oneonta Chapter of the American Advertising Federation, OnMark, Mentor Community, and a variety of campus committees. Aside from her busy class and extracurricular schedule, she is a musician, playing piano and singing for almost all of her life. After graduation, she plans on obtaining an MBA, and hopefully obtaining a career in the New York City area.
Kevin Stearns is majoring in Economics with minors in Political
Science and Audio Production Arts. Originally from Schenectady, NY he is Community Service
Chair for the Ultimate Frisbee Association and a peer tutor at CADE. After graduation, he plans
to work in the field of economics or law.
New Members (Spring and Fall 2016)
Elizabeth Benedict, from Schenectady, NY, is a fourth year Professional Accounting major. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, the Accounting Society and is an Accounting tutor at CADE on campus. During her free time she likes to hang out with friends, cook, and shop. After graduation, she plans to take the CPA exam and join a public accounting firm in Upstate New York.
Sara Stathopoulos is from Albany, New York and majoring in Business Economics with a concentration in finance. She is an officer in the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and works part-time on campus. Upon graduation she will be pursuing a career with General Electric in their Financial Management Program.
Connor Killane is from Clifton Park, NY. He is majoring in Business Economics with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Communication Studies. He is also a member of the Oneonta Swimming and Diving team and is part of the SUNYAC All-Acadmemic Team. Upon graduation Connor plans on pursuing a career in finance.
John Danielo is majoring in Business-Economics with a concentration in Finance. He is from Plainedge, New York and is currently involved in Economics, Finance, and Befit Clubs. He is a former athlete at SUNY Oneonta and when he is not doing work he enjoys being active with friends and family. He hopes to one day work in finance somewhere in New York City.
James Garzia is a Professional Accounting and Mathematics dual major. He is from Marcellus, NY. He is a co-founder of the Entrepreneurship Club. He also is a member of Accounting Society, Finance Club and OnMark. James also serves as a Senator on the Student Association. James plans to obtain his CPA and work as an Accountant.
Jessica Anderson is a Professional Accounting Major. She is from Levittown, NY and is a member of SUNY OnMark, the Accounting Society, and Colleges Against Cancer. She is also chair of the Team Recruitment and Registration Committee for Relay for Life in Colleges Against Cancer. Some of her interests include reading and working out. After graduating in May 2018, she hopes to become a Certified Public Accountant and eventually obtain her MBA degree.
Tim Distler is a Business Economics major. He is from Amityville, NY, and is a member of the Tennis Team and serves as the recruiting coordinator. Tim volunteers as a site coordinator for the VITA program, is a member of the Finance and accounting societies. He is also the Vice President and co-founder of the Entrepreneurship Club. Upon graduation he plans on starting a career in finance.
Michael McDonnell is a Business Econimics major from Levittown, NY. He is the VP of Public Relations for Alpha Phi Omega and is a conference co-chair for the NEACURH Regionals 2016 Conference, held at SUNY Oneonta in the fall of 2016. In his free time, he enjoys long distance running, hiking, and photography. Following his graduation in the spring of 2017, Michael hopes to work in the field of human resources.
Melissa Voyer is a Professional Accounting major from Baldwinsville, New York. Melissa enjoys the outdoors and has a love for travelling and new experiences. Melissa takes pride in being a member of the Women’s Volleyball team at SUNY Oneonta. After graduation, her plans are to get her Certified Public Accountant license and work for a public accounting firm in North Carolina.
Erin Nicolai, from Northport, NY, is majoring in Business Economics with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in English. She is an active member of the OnMark Marketing Club on campus and was nominated for the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. After graduation she hopes to travel and plans on pursuing a career in marketing.
Dana Matedero is a Business Economics major from East Setauket, New York. She is Vice President of the Finance Club, Vice President of the Economics club, and Vice President of Professional Development for OnMark, SUNY Oneonta’s AMA recognized Marketing Club. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society, and has been a member of the Oneonta State Cheerleading Team for the past three years. She loves animals and the outdoors, and in the future, hopes to travel the world as much as possible. After graduation, she will be working as an Operations Analyst for JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the New York Metropolitan area.
