I was extremely pleased last semester by the enthusiasm that our campus community showed by participating in the strategic-planning process. The Strategic Planning and Resource Council and its task forces did exceptional work, and many wonderful ideas and suggestions came from all across campus. This semester, I look forward to your continuing contributions to the strategic-planning process and to the initial draft of the strategic plan for our college. SPARC has an ambitious schedule, and you will again have multiple opportunities to participate. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the following open forums conducted by SPARC:

 

  • Wednesday, February 17, 3-5 p.m., Craven Lounge, Morris Conference Center:

            Members of the SPARC Institutional Distinctiveness Task Force will lead a discussion on Institutional Distinctiveness, and members of the Governing Ideas Task Force will lead a discussion on Mission. 

  • Monday, March 15, 3-5 p.m., Craven Lounge, Morris Conference Center:

            SPARC members will lead a discussion and collect ideas related to the initial draft of Strategic Goals. 

  • Wednesday, March 31, 3-5 p.m., Craven Lounge, Morris Conference Center:

            SPARC members will lead a discussion and collect ideas related to the drafts of Mission, Vision, and Strategic Goals.
