Mission and Purposes of the New York State Economics Association
The New York State Economics Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation.*
The purposes of this corporation are educational and this corporation is
organized exclusively for educational purposes. It is the purpose of the
corporation to carry out the activities listed below in order to promote
and cultivate scholarly activities in the field of economics in the state
of New York. Such activities include but are not limited to the following:

Holding meetings

Seminars
-
Publishing of scholarly papers
-
Professional and technical contributions to public and private institutions
throughout New York State

Other matters authorized by the membership of the Association
*The New York State Economics Association, Inc. is a corporation defined
in Section 102 (a) (5) of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law and is a Type
B Corporation within the meaning of Section 201. The purposes of this corporation
are educational within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal
Revenue Code and its regulations, and this corporation is organized exclusively
for educational purposes within the meaning of Section 420 of the New York
Real Property Tax Law.
