How do I submit my textbook requisitions?
Damascene Book Cellar offers five simple and convenient ways to submit your book requisitions. Choose the one that works best for you:
Online: The fastest and easiest way to submit your requisitions. Simply click here or go to www.damascenebook.com and follow the faculty link.
Email: Email Dan Birnbaum at firstname.lastname@example.org with your requisitions for the next term.
Phone: Give us a call Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 5:00pm at (607) 436-3329 and we can take your requisitions over the phone.
Mail/Fax: Send your requisitions via campus mail to Damascene Book Cellar, Hunt College Union or fax them to us at (607) 436-3805.
Direct: Feel free to drop by the store, located on the lower level of the Hunt College Union, and give us your requisitions in person.
How do I create and order a custom course pack?
Creating a custom course pack requires collaboration and research. Please contact Dan directly via email (email@example.com) or phone (607-436-3329) well in advance of the semester to discuss processes and options.
What if I want to change books after I have submitted my requisitions?

What is the bookstore doing to control textbook costs?
Rising textbook prices are a primary concern for Damascene Book Cellar and we work diligently to try to contain textbook costs. In the spring of 2011, after 30+ years of operating as the off-campus competitor to the campus bookstores, Damascene Book Cellar became the official campus bookstore of SUNY Oneonta. Through our extensive textbook experience, Damascene has cultivated multiple strategies for keeping operating costs low and passing those savings along to its student customers. These techniques include collecting early textbook requisitions from faculty in order to buyback books from students at the highest price possible, working daily on pricing with publishers, and offering lower-priced alternatives such as course packs and alternate binding styles. A keystone of our cost control strategy is the pride we take in offering more used textbooks for sale than most other college bookstores in NYS. Exorbitant textbook prices are bad for everyone and it is one of our missions to keep costs as low as possible.
Does Damascene Book Cellar offer faculty and staff any discount?
Damascene is happy to offer our faculty and staff a 10% discount.

How do I get a SUNY Oneonta ID card?
After you have been to Human Resources, come to the ID/Dining Card office in the Red Dragon Outfitters in the Hunt College Union.You may obtain an ID card Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please bring a photo ID and your A number.

How do I add money to my Dragon Dollars Account?
Dragon Dollars may be added to your account in one of the following ways:
- Calling the ID/Dining Office at (607) 436-3367
- Visiting the ID/Dining Office in the Red Dragon Outfitters in the Hunt College Union

Where can I use my Dragon Dollars?
Dragon Dollars may be used on campus at the Red Dragon Bookstore, Damascene Book Cellar, purchases at the Marketplace and any dining venue, copies at the Milne Library,
for parking fees or fines, vending machines, CUAC tickets, ORC trips and purchases at the Shipping Room. An ever changing list of off-campus merchants
who accept Dragon Dollars may be found on the web www.oneontadragondollars.com.

I would like to use the College Camp lodge for a class, is there a fee?
No, College Camp is free for academic/college use. There are fees associated with personal use.
You may visit the College Camp website for more information or call (607) 436-3157 to make a reservation.

I need to have an event catered on campus. Who do I contact?
Sodexo has exclusive rights for catering on campus. Catering information may be found on the web or call the catering office at (607) 436-3502 for more information.
