Offers access to writing by and about authors south of the Sahara.
American Literature on the Web
Includes links to electronic texts, interviews with authors, and web pages devoted to individual authors. Timelines for five literary periods link to sites with additional information about the music, visual arts, and social context of each period.
CCBC: Children's Literature Web Guide
A list of sites concerned with children's literature. Includes links to story collections, authors' biographies, lists of recommended readings and book awards.
Contemporary Postcolonial and Postimperial Literature in English
Extensive coverage of those writers outside the mainstream. Includes information on cultural and historical background of authors included.
Electronic Literature Directory
Extensive collection fo electonic works covering poetry, fiction, drama and non-fiction. Includes new forms of writing such as hypertext, animated and multi-media works. Readings by reputed poets are available in streaming audio.

Geared to both students and teachers of English as a second language, this site is one of the largest on the subject. Although the site is based in England, resources for study/teaching of American English are included.
EServer.org: Accessible Writing
Offers writers the opportunity to publish and receive editorial comments. Also includes links to collections of writing.

Humbul Humanities Hub
For all humanities studies, this site offers a broad range of resources arranged in clear categories and with carful descriptions.

Internet Public Library - Literature
