Ready Reference Sources
"Ready Reference" is a term used to designate a list of quick resources. While we have compiled some lists which are available by clicking on the category name in the left-hand column, other lists of ready reference sources are linked below.

- A collection of full text electronic reference books covering many subject areas. Can be searched by keyword, source, subject, image caption, full text, and audience. Individual books can be combined for cross-title searching.

- Full text of many standard reference books such as Columbia Encyclopedia, Roget's Thesaurus, Bartlett's Quotations, and Gray's Anatomy.
- Internet Library for Librarians: Ready Reference
- Includes almanacs/fact books, bibliographies, biographies, directories, dictionaries/thesauri, encyclopedias, maps/travel, news/weather, miscellaneous.
- Internet Public Library
- Annotated selection of authoritative resources.
- Intute
- Created by a network of British universities, this site claims to have "the very best Web resources for education and research". Resources are evaluated and annotated by subject specialists.
- Librarians' Index to the Internet
- A searchable, annotated subject directory of more than 7,000 Internet resources selected and evaluated by librarians
