Tecumseh December 14th 1827

it is wit pleasure itake my pen to in form you of our health with is good at present    iwas Suprised to see aunt Betsey trotin a long a foot but we was glad to see her   She is well   She has as muc work as She can do     She is here to work now   She takes in work and She is a going to mister Ketchems to work next day after to morrow    imet with an acident three weeks a gow    we was a drawing corn from Johns place ona Sled    we had got a crost the river an was a comeing up a little pitch and the horses Started an a kind of Leep and the h[]mer drew out wick holes the []peltry on and the horses being under[] motion that icound not hold them and then [threw] me of and stroke my Shoulder on the tounge and []it out of [Jint] and whan it Sat one it is a going Slowly but is was [] bruises    it is very pleasant weather it is jest like spring    it freeses nigts and thaws Days and today Sap [] ran   we have had some snow and it fell about 3 inches deep and t lasted A bout A week and then it went off and it held warm and rainy about a week and then that went off and now it is pleasant weather    Isaac tell Johns his Colt is as fat as []uter    tell him tha have not bin took off of the wheat Sence he went from here tell him we have not had a leter from him sence he went from here nor have nat heard from him    tell him if he can not Spend time to rite  that i say if he must git some [] for we won't []     nite to you
