August the 16th, 1819
Dear Brother and Sister I onc more set down to wright to you with plesure Consarning your Wellfare We are all Well at Present hopping that these fu Lions may find you joying the Sam Blesing as they have us I reseved your letter that requested me to send one of them little books to you but I have not sen one nor I dont care to see any For I think that do unf[] a thing shuld [] it grieves me sore and all of his agan[] to think that after the trial was over judgement against fore of them condemd to dy that thay should then releas the principle in the Murder and Principe in the Acessory and have hung the two least guilty in my opinon that I dont [] See an [] of such triel in my Life agane I have Don all that I coud Doe to get a repreve But all in vaine hang James thay Wold and after I found that thare was Know Parden for him I Went to the Sherif and reqested the Body of James Teed and had him laid out on my own table and Buried him with his Children he had gon & left us to morn his hard feight But not Without Having a hope that he has gon happy and know vists with his Saver Who was hang on a tree Coe and Benjamin Teed are know at home on the old farm and are know Wanting to Sell the farm very much to go to Ohio Benjamin [] and family are Well at Present
