The purpose of this course guide is to give you help in locating research for your assignment. At the bottom of the page you will find basic information on finding books in the Milne as well as other libraries, and also how to find a copy of a periodical article from a citation.

PsycARTICLES provides access to over 100,000 searchable full text articles from 48 journals published by the American Psychological Association from 1894 to the present.

SocINDEX is the world's most comprehensive and highest quality sociology research database. This index features more than 1,910,000 records with subject headings from a 19,300 term sociology-specific. This file also contains informative abstracts for more than 815 "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895. In addition, this file provides data mined from more than 630 "priority" coverage journals as well as 2,840 "selective" coverage journals.
General database of over 2,150 sources covering education, business, communications and healthcare. Coverage from 1994 to the present.
On the library web site, enter search terms in the box under Find Books & Media in the Library (Search the Catalog). Truncate or shorten terms using the *, if you are uncertain of the spelling, or if searching for variations of a word. For example, child* will find child, children, children's, childlike.
Worldcat is an online database listing materials in U.S. libraries and selected libraries throughout the world. Holdings are indicated for Milne Library, and the Stevens-German Library at Hartwick College. You can search by author, title, subject, and keyword. You can request items needed on ILLiad - Interlibrary Loan, for which a link is provided on the record for each item. You can also check out items at Hartwick College with your SUNY Oneonta ID card.
