Governanance, management, clerical and business support

The outward face of IT, responsible for front-line customer support and operational support for the end-user usage of computing resources.
Helpdesk
Answer user questions, submit help tickets and manage student employees who handle helpdesk calls. |
Desktop Support
Provide front line support for Mac, PC and Linux desktops and mobile devices. |
A/V
Provide audio and video services to learning spaces, meeting rooms and special events on campus. |
Training
Provide user training to faculty, staff and students through a combination of the TIPS program, printed materials and one-on-one sessions. |
Labs
Maintain hardware and supplies in labs. |

Responsible for our large-scale applications frameworks and data center operations.
Architecture
Manage overall relationships between applications |
Servers
Maintain data centers. Install and update software, hardware and patch to provide maximum uptime and reliability in server areas. |
App Support
Provide programming support for applications |
Imaging
Build and maintain lab and desktop disk images |

Manages and administers the physical infrastructure for connectivity between machines and people.
Telecom
Manages programming and data support for telephone systems. Responsible for all telephone hardware and software. |
Networks
Network switch and other device programming hardware and software support. |
Technicians
Provide field technician support to both telecom and networking by pulling wiring, connecting devices and reconfiguring as needed. |

Teaching, Learning & Technology Center - Jim Greenberg
Direct support of faculty initiatives in teaching and learning, advise on IT-related issues with course content, support research initiatives.

Discusses new initiatives and projects with groups external to IT, prototypes and develops new projects for eventual handoff to operations.
Project Management
Intake, investigation, scoping, approval, development, testing, piloting, acceptance and operational transfer. |
Technology Evaluation
Procurement, testing, documentation, piloting, promoting. |
Innovation
Curiosity, creativity, connection and collaboration; results in the development of entirely new capabilities. |
