Resources

SUNY Oneonta offers a host of outstanding resources to help your student stay safe, healthy and on track while away from home.

Campus safety and security are coordinated by the University Police Department, which has a force of 17 sworn police officers with full arrest powers. The student-run Oneonta State Emergency Squad assists the UPD with emergency medical services when requested.

Our Health and Wellness Center offers a variety of services, including care for illness and injuries, immunizations and counseling. Students have a variety of opportunities to stay fit, whether it’s swimming laps at our pool, running on the indoor or outdoor track, participating in intramurals or working out at one of our two fitness centers. Spiritual support is available through the Campus Ministry.

Students can get advice on course selection, choosing a major and completing graduation requirements through our Academic Advisement Center. Tutoring services and study resources are available through our Center for Academic Development and Enrichment, and our Career Development Center offers information on internships, part-time job opportunities and career planning. Computer support services are available through our Help Desk.

Diversity is one of our core values, and we work to maintain a welcoming, supportive and inclusive learning environment through our Office of Multicultural Student Affairs and our Student Disability Services office. Support for international students is provided through the Office of International Education.
