SUNY ONEONTA STUDENT ASSOCIATION SPONSORS VOTER REGISTRATION & DEBATES

 

ONEONTA, N.Y. -- As part of the "Rock the Vote" effort to encourage young people to vote, the Student Association of the SUNY College at Oneonta is sponsoring a voter registration drive and related events on campus. Admission to the events is complimentary, and members of the community are invited to attend.

On Monday, September 29, and Tuesday, September 30, the Student Association is sponsoring a voter registration drive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main quad of the SUNY Oneonta campus. Voter registration forms, absentee ballots, and additional information will be available.

On Tuesday, October 7, at 9 p.m., the presidential debate from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, will be broadcast in the Red Dragon Theatre of the Hunt College Union. On Wednesday, October 15, at 9 p.m., the presidential debate from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, will be broadcast in the same venue.

On Thursday, October 23, the Student Association will sponsor a mock presidential debate at 7 p.m. in the Hodgdon Instructional Resources Center on campus.
