ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY College at Oneonta has announced the
recipients of its fall 2008 grants through its Student/Faculty Grant Program
for Research and Creative Activity. The College's
Committee on Research
reviewed 31 applications from student researchers working with faculty
sponsors individually or in teams. Eighteen of the projects were funded, and
the total value of the grants was $17,823. Another round of grants will be
available in the spring semester.
SUNY Oneonta's
Student/Faculty Grant Program for Research and Creative Activity enables
students to conduct in-depth research in a major area of interest under the
guidance of a faculty advisor. The grants program is funded by the College
at Oneonta Foundation's unrestricted endowment and administered by the
College's Committee on Research. The research projects span a range of
disciplines from the sciences to the liberal arts and social sciences.
