ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY College at Oneonta will host a kick-off
event on Thursday, November 13, at 7 p.m. in the Hunt College Union Ballroom
to present information and begin organizing for the second annual local
Relay For Life in support of the American Cancer Society. The 2009 Relay For
Life will be held at SUNY Oneonta on March 13 and 14.
Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight experience designed to bring
together those who have been touched by cancer to celebrate survivors,
remember those lost to cancer, and to fight back against this disease. As
individuals or teams, Relay participants help raise money and awareness to
support the American Cancer Society. During Relay For Life events, teams of
people gather to take turns walking or running laps.
