ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY College at Oneonta will present its third annual local Relay For Life in support of the American Cancer Society. Over 1,100 students and supporters in 83 teams are expected to participate in the event, which begins on Friday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in the SUNY Oneonta Alumni Field House. Members of the community are invited to participate.
Relay For Life is a fun filled overnight experience designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer to celebrate survivors, remember those lost to cancer, and to fight back against this disease. As individuals or teams, Relay participants help raise money and awareness to support the American Cancer Society. During Relay For Life events, teams of people gather to take turns walking or running laps.
