SUNY ONEONTA TO CELEBRATE COLLEGE ON RED DAY, SEPTEMBER 4

 

ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Students, faculty, and staff at the SUNY College at Oneonta will commemorate the founding of the College on September 4, 1889, and celebrate their school spirit by wearing red on Red Day 2009, Friday, September 4. The College’s official colors are red and white.

The event will include a give-away of school spirit items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main campus quad. The Red Dragon Bookstore will also hold a 25% off sale on red items, excluding textbooks and electronics.

Red Day is sponsored by the SUNY Oneonta Office of Alumni Affairs, Oneonta Auxiliary Services, First Year Experiences, The Red Dragon Bookstore, Sodexo, Coca-Cola, Residential and Community Life, the Student Association, Residential Student Organization, National Residence Hall Honorary, College Union Activities Council, and the Marketing Club.
