ONEONTA, N.Y. -- As an installment of the Red Dragon Reading Series,
poet and scholar
Roger
Hecht, Assistant Professor of English at the SUNY College at Oneonta,
will present a reading from his work at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, in
the Craven Lounge of the Morris Conference Center at SUNY Oneonta. The
reading will be followed by a reception. Admission to the event is
complimentary, and members of the community are invited to attend.
Dr. Hecht is the author of a collection of poems, Lunch at the Table
of Opposites, and several works on nineteenth-century American
literature. His poems have been published in literary magazines across the
country, including the Denver Quarterly, Columbia Poetry Review,
Diagram, and Mudlark. A member of the SUNY Oneonta faculty
since 2004, he received the Delmore Schwartz Prize from Syracuse University,
where he earned his doctorate.
