ONEONTA, N.Y. -- As the first installment of the
Spring 2010 Red Dragon Reading Series at the SUNY College at Oneonta,
fiction writer Brent DeLanoy will read from his work at 7:30 p.m. on
Thursday, January 28, in the Center for Multicultural Experiences in Lee
Hall. The reading will be followed by a reception and book signing.
Admission to the event is complimentary, and members of the community are
invited to attend.
Brent DeLanoy was awarded the 2008 A. E. Coppard Prize for his novella
"Benediction," which was published by White Eagle Coffee Store Press. His
short fiction has appeared in the magazines "decomP" and "Thieves Jargon." A
member of the English Department faculty at Hartwick College, DeLanoy earned
his Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from New Mexico State
University in 2006.

Oneonta include readings by environmental author Janisse Ray on Wednesday,
March 10; novelist and short-story writer Randall Kenan on Wednesday, March
31; and novelist Heidi Durrow on Tuesday, April 20.
