 FOUR TO BE INDUCTED INTO SUNY ONEONTA MUSIC DEPARTMENT HALL OF FAME

 

ONEONTA, N.Y. --  The Music Department at the SUNY College at Oneonta will honor two alumni and two retired faculty members with induction into the Music Department Hall of Fame. Alumni Rosemary Summers, who graduated in 1977, and Scott Miller, who graduated in 1988, will join former SUNY Oneonta faculty Carlton Clay and Charles Burnsworth as the 2009 induction class.

The ceremony will be held during the College’s 2009 Homecoming & Family Weekend at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, in the Goodrich Theater of the Fine Arts Building. Members of the community are invited to attend.

The Music Department Hall of Fame honors SUNY Oneonta graduates who have distinguished themselves in the fields of Music and Music Industry. It also recognizes faculty members who have greatly impacted the development of the Music Department as well as the community at large. The first members of the hall of fame were inducted in 2008.
