ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The
Music Department at
the SUNY College at Oneonta has established a new Music Department Hall of
Fame to honor former SUNY-Oneonta students who have gone on to excel in
musical fields, as well as the faculty who helped prepare them. The first
induction ceremony will be held during the College's 2008
Reunion Weekend on Saturday, June 7, 2008, from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at
the Dance Studio in the Alumni Field House.
Honorees for the Music Department Hall of Fame were selected by a
committee of current and former Music Department faculty. The names of the
first class to be inducted will be announced at the ceremony on June 7, and
plans are in the works to honor the Music Department Hall of Famers in a
display in a special location in the Music Department's facilities.
