ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The
Office of International
Education at the SUNY College at Oneonta will sponsor its first annual
International Student Karaoke Competition from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday,
May 1, in the Center for Multicultural Experiences in Lee Hall. In addition
to the musical competition, the event will also celebrate international
students who will graduate in May 2009 and SUNY Oneonta participants in
study-abroad programs. Admission is complimentary, and members of the
community are invited to attend.
The karaoke competition, which will be judged by a panel of SUNY Oneonta
faculty, will feature performances of songs in English by SUNY Oneonta
international students and others. Refreshments and music by DJ Tiny Mike
will also be provided.
