SUNY ONEONTA EDUCATION MAJORS TO HOLD PANCAKE BREAKFAST FOR HARVEST OF HOPE FOUNDATION
 

ONEONTA, N.Y. -- A group of Education majors at the SUNY College at Oneonta will sponsor a "Funday Sunday" pancake breakfast to benefit the Harvest of Hope Foundation on Sunday, October 18, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the American Legion at 279 Chestnut Street in Oneonta. The menu will include pancakes, eggs, bacon, and fruit. The donation will be $6 for adults, $5 for students, and $4 for children.

The students in Education Block 24 are organizing the event as a service-learning experience in a course taught by Assistant Professor Madeline Berry of the SUNY Oneonta Department of Elementary Education and Reading.

The Harvest of Hope of Hope Foundation was established in Oneonta in 1997 as a charitable non-profit organization to assist migrant farmworkers and families across the country. To date, Harvest of Hope has distributed more than $771,000 in emergency and educational aid.
