ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Children and families from Oneonta and the
surrounding area are invited to a Halloween carnival and to trick-or-treat
in the residence halls of the SUNY College at Oneonta on Thursday, October
29. The carnival will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the International
Lounge of the Hunt College Union. Trick-or-treating in the residence halls
will follow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission to the annual carnival is $1 per family. The carnival will
feature crafts, treats, and snacks for everyone. Participants should wear
Halloween costumes.
Beginning at 6 p.m., student volunteers will lead trick-or-treaters and
the adults who accompany them to the residence halls. College students in
the residence halls, which will be decorated for Halloween, will have snacks
and other treats for children.
SUNY Oneonta has been inviting community children to trick or treat on
campus for over ten years. Visitors to campus are advised to park in the
lots adjacent to the Hunt College Union and the Alumni Field House.
