ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Children from
Oneonta and the surrounding area are invited to the campuses of the
SUNY College at Oneonta and Hartwick College on Sunday, October 28,
for trick-or-treating and a number of other Halloween activities.
The SUNY-Oneonta
Office of
Residential Community Life and the Hartwick Office of
Residential Life are collaborating on the fun-filled day for area
children.
The day will begin with a Halloween Costume Party in the Stack
Lounge of Dewar Hall at Hartwick College from noon until 2 p.m. From
2 p.m. until 4 p.m., children are invited to trick or treat on the
Hartwick campus. Admission to the events is complimentary.
From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., SUNY-Oneonta will offer a Halloween
Carnival with Arts and Crafts in the Hunt College Union Ballroom.
Admission to the event will be $1 per child, and all proceeds will
benefit the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. The carnival
will be sponsored by the College at Oneonta sororities and
fraternities.
Following the carnival, children are invited to trick or treat in
the SUNY-Oneonta residence halls from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

on campus for over 10 years. College students in the residence
halls, which will be decorated for Halloween, will have snacks and
other treats for children.

lots adjacent to the Hunt College Union. To participate in the
events, children must be accompanied by an adult.
