ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The ninth annual
Faculty Research Show at the SUNY College at Oneonta will highlight a
wide range of research projects conducted by SUNY Oneonta faculty. The show
will be held in the Morris Conference Center on Thursday, February 12, from
3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is complimentary, and members of the community
are invited to attend.
The celebration of faculty research will begin with the Faculty Research
Show
Breakfast Convivium at the Morris Conference Center from 8 a.m. to 9
a.m. on February 12. The breakfast will feature a presentation by 1972
alumnus Dr. Steven D. Blazey, the Vice President for Technology and
Operations at the Network Group in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Blazey will speak on
"The 2009 Research Paradigm Shift within a Global Economy." The Breakfast

SUNY Oneonta faculty from 35 academic departments and programs will offer
presentations at this year's Faculty Research Show. Many of them worked with
student collaborators as well as with colleagues representing 18 different
institutions. Faculty will present 65 programs, representing the work of
nearly 150 contributing authors from the College at Oneonta and affiliated
universities.
The Faculty Research Show will feature multi-disciplinary presentations
from the natural and applied sciences to the humanities and arts to social
sciences, including the following:
