ONEONTA, N.Y. --
Michael
Flinton, Assistant Professor in the
Cooperstown Graduate Program
of the SUNY College at Oneonta, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship to
attend the annual conference of the Public Risk Management Association in
Dallas, Texas, from May 31 to June 3. Flinton was one of only 20 recipients
of the scholarship nationwide.
The Public Risk Management Association provides risk-management education
and training for professionals in the public and not-for-profit sectors.
Flinton teaches museum administration and management in the Cooperstown
Graduate Program.
A member of the SUNY Oneonta faculty since 2008, Flinton holds a master's
in public administration from Central Michigan University. He worked
previously as executive director of the Saratoga Automobile Museum.
