Angell, Chair of the SUNY Oneonta Human Ecology Department, and SUNY
Oneonta student Jessica Esperon-Mason spoke as part of a panel on the future
of Family and Consumer Sciences.
SUNY Oneonta student Leslie Schafer represented the College in the
special Olympic Torch Lighting ceremony to mark the association’s founding
in 1909.
Rosemarie
Avanzato and MaryAnn Pinney of the Human Ecology Department faculty
participated in the conference, as did students Lauren Bourassa, Kim Coners,
Meghan Hunt, and Amy Sibert.
More than 200 Family and Consumer Sciences professionals and students
from across the United States attended the annual conference, where experts
in Family and Consumer Sciences presented strategies to help individuals,
families, and communities to sustain and improve their quality of life while
fostering a healthy environment.
