ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Kirk Allen, a 1995 graduate of the SUNY College at
Oneonta who teaches business at a high school in Westchester County, will
offer a presentation entitled "Save Your Financial Self: Practical Financial
Advice for College Students" on Monday, October 12, at 8 p.m. in the
Center for Multicultural
Experiences in Lee Hall. Admission to the event is complimentary, and
members of the community are invited to attend.
Allen, who received his degrees in business and education, is the author
of the book "Save Your Financial Self." His presentation will address issues
such as credit cards, debt, and purchasing power as they apply to college
students and recent graduates. Though the program focuses on financial
issues facing college students, it offers practical advice for all.
Allen’s appearance at his alma mater is sponsored by the College’s

Studies Department and the
