The SUNY Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in the Classified Service are
system-level awards established by SUNY to recognize superior performance
and extraordinary achievement by employees in the Classified Service. To
receive the award, a nominee must continuously demonstrate outstanding
achievement, skill, and commitment to excellence in fulfilling the job
description for his or her position and in activities beyond the scope of
the job. Special consideration is given to employees who consistently
provide exemplary customer service to students, staff, and other members of
the campus community.
Members of the campus community can nominate Classified Service employees
for the award. Nominees are reviewed by a campus selection committee before
being recommended to the College President and SUNY System Administration.
Betty Winchester will receive the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence
in Classified Service at the College's Commencement on Saturday, May 16.
