ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Two staff members from the
Center for Academic
Development and Enrichment at the SUNY College at Oneonta were elected
to executive board posts of the New York College Learning Skills Association
at its 2009 symposium in Corning. Amy Crouse-Powers will serve as
president-elect of the association for 2009-2010, after having served for
2008-2009 as first vice president. Sheila Simon will serve the association
as secretary for 2009-2010.
Crouse-Powers is a professional writing tutor at the SUNY Oneonta Center
for Academic Development and Enrichment, and Simon is Assistant to the
Director.
Amy Crouse-Powers and Rita Richards, also of the SUNY Oneonta Center for
Academic Development and Enrichment, presented academic papers at the
association's 2009 symposium. SUNY Oneonta will co-sponsor the 2010 New York
College Learning Skills Association Symposium in Rochester, which will be
chaired by Crouse-Powers.
