ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Student art will be the focus of two
shows this month in the Fine Arts Building of the SUNY College at Oneonta.
Admission to the
galleries is complimentary, and members of the community are invited to
attend.
The Main Gallery will host the Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition
through May 17 with over 90 works by student artists that were chosen by the
art faculty through an open jury process. The exhibit includes painting,
drawing, sculpture, digital print, digital video, and an assortment of mixed
media.
The New Gallery will feature "Keep It Wolf," an exhibition by students
Matthew Leach, Jerry Mascho, and Katrina Mascho, through April 22. The
exhibition consists primarily of computer-generated art of printed imagery
and graphic design.
A reception for the artists in both exhibitions, which will include the
presentation of awards along with live music and refreshments, is scheduled
for Thursday, April 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the gallery. All are
invited to attend.
