ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY College at Oneonta will host 340 student
musicians chosen from 33 different high schools in the region for the annual
New York State School Music Association Zone 8 Area All-State Music
Festival. The event will be held in the Hunt Union Ballroom on campus on
Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 22. The students will present a
concert starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for
students, and free for children 4 and under. Members of the community are
invited to attend.
Four large ensembles will perform at the concert: the Concert Band,
conducted by Professor Kent Burchill; the Women's Chorus, conducted by
Theresa Lee-Whiting; the String Orchestra, conducted by Ron Hebert; and the
Mixed Chorus, conducted by Professor Timothy Newton.

Music Department at
SUNY Oneonta, will serve as Host and Festival Coordinator. More information
