The Events Council is composed of all building
administrators. Its purpose is to coordinate events occurring
on campus.
The Events Calendar is designed to present a
searchable database of events held on
the Oneonta Campus. If the Events Calendar does not show an
event for a particular location and date, it does not
necessarily mean that the space is available for scheduling an event on that
date.
If you are planning an event and would like to
hold it on campus, you need to:

2. The administrator will assist in
filling out the Permit Application Form for events for all on-campus
groups. Event organizers should be prepared to provide information
such as the identity and size of the group attending the event; the date(s), nature, and purpose of the event; the sponsor of the event;
the preferred set-up; audio/video equipment needed; and the
funding source for any registration fees.
3. Non-campus groups may use campus facilities for
non-commercial purposes.
However, in addition to the Permit Application Form (see #2 above),
event organizers must also secure a Qualifying Permit and Insurance
and pay the appropriate fees. The Office of Finance and
Administration issues permits and coordinates applicable billing, collection, and provides a final review of all permits prior to their
approval by the Vice President for Finance and Administration.
4. Oneonta Auxiliary Services is exempt from
Qualifying Permits because its separate contract with SUNY provides
for the use of College space. However, any outside organization
using College space through OAS must have a Qualifying Permit.
Events such as luncheons or dinner meetings through OAS require a
permit.
5. More information about scheduling events on campus is
available by calling Carol A. Blazina in the Community Relations Office at 607-436-2748.
