Table II from Evaluating WWW Search Engines for Chemistry, by Harry E. Pence, Mariah Bernard, Aubray Cerniglia, Linda Mokay, and Lut Wong.

The results in this table were obtained with a new group of search terms that were selected to minimize the number of hits obtained. It was hoped that this would give a more accurate indication of the comprehensiveness of the search engines. In addition, the FAST engine (which powers www.alltheweb.com) was added.
