Article Review Assignment in Lieu of Attending Evening Lecture

 – Water Resources

Article Assignment Guidelines:

Unfortunately, I must miss class on March 17^th and 19^th in order to present a paper at a National conference.  One of the two lectures will be covered by an in-class video.  The second class will be made up by requiring students to attend an evening lecture presented by myself.   The lecture will cover the natural and cultural ecology of a local city park.  If you can not attend the February 26^th, 2004 evening lecture at Morris Hall, you must make up for the missed class time.

In lieu of not attending the lecture, write a 2-page review on either of the following articles:  “Globalization and International Trade of Water” by Gary Wolff and Peter Gleick or “Pacific Island Developing Country Water Resources and Climate Change” by William Burns   The review should consist of three parts:  1) a summary of the article’s central theme; 2) your opinion and comments on article specifics; and, 3) a critique of the strengths and weaknesses of the work.  The article review must be a minimum of 2-pages in length, typed, and double spaced
