Dr. Steven Perry began his career in college student development in 1978, and moved to  the College at Oneonta in 1984. Prior to his appointment as Vice President, he served the College as Director of Career Development and Academic Advisement, Interim Director of Admissions, and Associate Vice President for Student Development. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from SUNY Albany, an M.S. Ed. in Counseling and Educational Psychology from Slippery Rock University and a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Grove City College.

Dr. Perry works closely with the senior management team in the supervision of the division of Student Development, with Residential and Community Life reporting directly to him. Dr. Perry also serves as the project director for a series of grants supporting ESCORT, the Migrant Education Outreach Program, Migrant Youth Programs, and the Higher Education Program. In addition, he is the campus liaison to the Children’s Center.
