The Student Association of the State University of New York College at Oneonta, in order to establish a more workable and responsive student government, protect the rights of its members, promote the social and personal growth, advance the general welfare of the student body, protect and maintain the civil liberties of the student body, and create a government that will have both the respect and trust of the student body as well as those with whom government must partner with, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Student Association of the State University of New York College at Oneonta. |

Africana & Latino Studies Club |
The Africana and Latino Studies Club of the State University College at Oneonta attempts to foster appreciation for the cultures and intellectual traditions of Africana and Latino people. The club’s primary effort is to promote awareness, knowledge and critical dialogue about issues and concerns relevant to Africana and Latino populations. Our main goal is to connect our intellectual commitments with community service endeavors throughout the Oneonta College Community. A second aim is to unite various segments of the campus community through community service focused on low income and culturally diverse groups and individuals. We also wish to promote healthy social relationships between ourselves and other fellow students and groups within the Oneonta College Community who support our educational and community service goals. These individuals and groups include but are not limited to liaisons with Hartwick College, Oneonta Job Corps, and the Oneonta Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Cultures Club at the local High School, the Rotary Club and other local residents and groups. The club will promote participation and discussion of Africana and Latino cultural and intellectual events and related activities through:
- Sponsoring dialogues, lectures, speaker series, workshops, symposia and conferences
- Sponsoring trips to intellectual and cultural events and activities outside of Oneonta
- Sponsoring community service opportunities within the greater Oneonta and its surrounding communities
- Sponsoring community building and fundraising events that bring together our intellectual, cultural and community service orientation for the betterment of the Greater Oneonta College community

The objectives of this Chapter shall be to afford an opportunity for students of a chemical science to become better acquainted, to secure the intellectual stimulation that arises from professional association, to obtain experience in preparing and presenting technical material before chemical audiences, to foster a professional spirit among the members, to instill a professional pride in the chemical sciences, and to foster an awareness of the responsibilities and challenges of the modern chemist. |

Apollo Music Club |
The name of the organization is The Apollo Music Club. Its purpose shall be to promote the cause of music as a fine art in the campus community. Its activities may include sponsorship of musical events, guest lecturers and performers, exchange programs of student musicians, promotion of high musical standards, service projects, fellowship of musicians, and other events of musical interest. It shall also maintain relations with other musical organizations and clubs. |

Art & Scope |

Purposes
- To encourage student interest, participation, and responsibility in the creative arts through a yearly publication of the art and literary magazine, Art & Scope, and through monthly open mics where poetry and music are performed. We will also sponsor the Poetry Slam competition and send a team of four and an alternate to the Poetry Slam nationals annually. Artists and poets shall also be brought periodically for the campus and community to enjoy.
- The officers shall consist of the editor-in-chief, managing editor, secretary, treasurer, and if the club sees fit, a publicity manager.

Computer Programmers United |
The purpose of CPU is the support, encouragement, and furtherance of computer science at SUNY Oneonta.
We are a forum for students and faculty to share ideas, concepts, technology, information, and insights related to the field of computer science. While we accept a wide range of topics and discussions, we value quality of meetings over the number of members.
We are also a resource for tutoring and lab assistance (through our officers) for the computer science students of SUNY Oneonta.
In addition, we support trips to computer science conferences, technology shows, programming contests, and other related events. Moreover, we encourage and fund speakers in the field to visit our campus and give presentations.
We encourage the design, coding, and promulgation of computer programs, whilst taking a hard stand against academic dishonesty.
Above all, our overriding goal is to educate students in the field of computer science and to have fun while doing it. |

- The purpose of this organization shall be to foster the game of Cricket and to encourage the playing of this game in accordance with the Laws and Rules of Cricket in the best traditions of sportsmanship.

Purpose
This association is a nonprofit organization organized pursuant to the laws of the State of New York and is a nonprofit organization as described in Section 501© (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
The association is organized as follows:
- To work with economically disadvantaged families to help them create a better human habitat in which to live.
- To cooperate with other nonprofit organizations which are working to develop a better habitat for economically disadvantaged families.
- To keep a positive relationship with our affiliate, Habitat for Humanity of Otsego County.

| Purpose
Section 1: SUNY Oneonta Hillel has 3 primary purposes:
- SUNY Oneonta Hillel shall work to unify and build a strong foundation for the Jewish community.

Purpose
Section I: The Music Industry Club, as an academic based organization, shall offer its members the opportunity to gain knowledge, insight, experience and artistic development in relation to the music industry by interacting with it on a local, regional, national, and global level.

Purpose

Purpose

Purpose

But our main purpose shall be to indentify problems of environmental degradation here on campus, and to improve the situation through volunteer programs of help. |

Rock to Cure |
Purpose
Rock to Cure’s purpose is to provide the student population of State University of New York, College at Oneonta with the opportunity to assist, support, and organize benefit events and activities during the academic school year. Rock to Cure seeks to create and nurture a community focused on utilizing the arts, music, and club meetings to raise support and increase awareness of cancer research and other causes to students. We propose to reach out to the entire campus community and work with other Student Association Clubs and Organizations. Through the use of benefit events Rock to Cure seeks to raise money for the American Cancer Society and other charitable causes. |

St. Jude Giants has the following objectives, purposes, and goals:

Ski & Snowboard Club |
Purpose
The SUCO Ski and Snowboard Club is established to create a community of skiers and snowboarders with common interests. The club will be organized to create transportation of members via carpooling and the use of the SA vans. We will promote skiing and snowboarding for the students of SUNY Oneonta. The club would like to establish a budget and request financial assistance for trips, equipment, travel and what the club members deem necessary. |

The purpose of this group shall be to give the college community of Oneonta State College a place to discuss sociological issues and to provide a forum for special interests of any student wishing to communicate their personal sociological interests and theories. The faculty wishes to make themselves available to anyone in the group for guidance in sociological research. The club will be a place for members to present their research to the rest of the group. The group will act as a scrutinizing and productive force to assist members in published materials, and give assistance in placing and directing members towards graduate work in the field of sociology. |

Purpose
In recognition of its status as the official Student Association newspaper, the STATE TIMES advances the following as a general statement of purpose:

Purpose
To provide an outlet for students who hold political view alternative to those held in the mainstream media and politics, and concerned with expressing those views openly and publicily and translating them into political activism on campus.
SAV's goal is to promote awareness of the human costs of military interventions, inquire into the roots causes of terrorism, educate ourselves and other about alternatives to military retaliation, advocate for the maintenance of constitutional rights and protections for all citizens in the United States, and promote political and social awareness and dialoge through meetings, forums, petitions, and other events on campus. |

WONY is an alternative, non-commercial, educational radio station financed by the Student Association of SUNY-Oneonta. WONY is owned and its license is held by the State University of New York, which is issued by the Federal Communications Commission. |
