Oneonta's ONE Rate
The price of living on campus will be fixed for each entering class, and will not be increased, as long as you live in our residence halls. If, at any time during your college career, you need to leave the college for an approved academic reason (including, but not limited to participation in an internship, study abroad program, student teaching, etc.), you will receive your original, guaranteed room rates upon your return.
In this age of increasing college costs, we hope that this rate structure will benefit you and your family by ensuring a consistent room rental cost.
Please note, these prices are the same for ANY residence hall on campus in which you reside, and you are guaranteed this rate for as long as you remain in campus housing.
For students who entered SUNY Oneonta prior to the Fall 2015 semester, your continued, guaranteed room rate set will be:
Note: in an over-occupied triple room, the occupant of the top bunk gets their own closet. The other two occupants share the other closet.
*Students placed in overoccupied (tripled) rooms will be billed at the standard double rate at the beginning of the semester. During the week of the November break, the room rate will be prorated based on the number of days that a student is in an overoccupied room, and a credit in that amount will be applied to the spring semester bill. At the time the room returns to normal occupancy, the room rate will revert to the standard double rate for that building for the remainder of the semester. Designed triple rooms in Golding, Littell, Tobey and Wilber are not overoccupied rooms, and do not receive the triple rate.
