Jessica Roman is the Residence Hall Director of Wilber Hall at SUNY Oneonta and this is Jessica’s first year at SUNY Oneonta. Originally from San Diego California, Jessica graduated from St. John’s University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education with a concentration in Mathematics. Jessica continued to complete the Masters of Arts in Postsecondary Educational Leadership with a Specialization in Student Affairs from San Diego State University and graduated in 2015. While at SDSU, Jessica was an Assistant Residence Hall Coordinator for two years, for the first year it was in an Apartment Style Community and then second year was in a First Year Experience Community. During Jessica’s time at SDSU, she also had the opportunity to intern for the department of Greek Life. Jessica want to continue working in Residence Life for the upcoming future. Jessica enjoys reading, crocheting/knitting, television and movies, and working with students and seeing them grow through their college experiences.
About This HALL
Wilber Hall is a First Year Experience building at SUNY Oneonta, it consists of 125 rooms of which most of them are doubles with a few singles, and a few triples. Wilber Hall is overseen by one Residence Hall Director, who is in charge the overall building, 8 Resident Advisors, two per floor, they are in charge of looking after the students and being a resource for their transition into college, and on Resident Community Advisor who is in charge of creating building wide programs. Wilber Hall also has many ammenities such as, a gym, laundry rooms, kitchens, vending machines, computer labs, TV lounge, study rooms, a piano, and a game room.
